Spiritual sight
Did you ever see an elephant sit on a man’s lap? Ridiculous, right? But with photo editing software, the computer literate can align images and present a photo or video that can fool the eye. The magic of this software may be comparatively new, but illusion is not. Consider this: Do you really know a rainbow when you see one?
From the ground a rainbow is a semicircle, but only ignorance of the reality makes this illusion seem true. The pilot of an airplane in flight sees the rainbow as it really is: a complete color ring—a beautiful, unending circle.
I remember when an uplift in thought elevated my point of view and I began to see life differently. I saw that life is not just happenstance in a material world separate from Spirit, God, and over which we have no control. I learned that whether we know it or not, God’s perfect order and eternal truth are in operation everywhere. This spiritual view became apparent when I positioned my thought in that state of receptivity, where the human connection could be made. When I began to ask myself profound questions—What is God? Who am I? What is our relationship?—profound answers came.
