Jesus' teaching and practice have returned!
After fourteen years and two children, my marriage ended in divorce. I was swimming in debt and out of time to find a solution. On top of that, lawyers said that I should expect to spend many thousands of dollars to litigate a child custody case that had an uncertain outcome. My world was turned upside down. Each day my sense of desperation grew more acute.
One evening a longtime friend called to tell me how he had been healed through Christian Science treatment. Knowing of my predicament, he asked me to seek out a Christian Science practitioner in my city. Willing to “try prayer,” I agreed.
The next morning, I made an appointment with a practitioner for that same afternoon. My friend had said I would need Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and the Bible, so I stopped at a Reading Room and obtained them and drove to the appointment not knowing what to expect.
