Leg injury healed
Earlier this year, I experienced a healing that showed me the power of the truth contained in the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy.
While running in a local park, I took a leap over a patch on the ground and felt something tear in the back of my thigh. Over the next two or three days, the pain in my leg increased to the point of agony. The condition was never diagnosed, but the evidence pointed to a torn hamstring, which, according to medical theory, takes several months to heal and can require surgery.
I called a Christian Science practitioner and stopped my daily routine (which included running a business and taking classes for a master’s degree) in order to devote time to reading and prayer. Over the next several weeks, I spent most of each day reading the Bible, Science and Health, passages from Mary Baker Eddy’s other writings, and the Christian Science periodicals. I also sang many hymns.
