I enjoyed Kathryn Merrill’s article “Working for our ‘Father’s business’ ” ([“Heaven and Hell”] August 22, 2011, Sentinel). The article addresses vital questions about careers, employment, purpose, and identity—questions we all wrestle with. The article is a powerful affirmation of our connection to God and how we can find satisfying solutions to questions about employment through a deeper understanding of God. I look forward to sharing this article with friends and acquaintances.

What an inspiring Sentinel! True to its title of “Mountaintop prayers,” with memorable articles and especially Consuela Allen’s testimony. Her steadfast prayer, humility, and fruition truly met the “Spiritual uplift” as promised by Jeff Ward-Bailey in his intro to this issue where he said: “Our perseverance in prayer always opens us up to clearer ideas and understanding, to more expansive spiritual vistas.” A sincere thank you to all of the contributors to this and all Sentinels.
