New member of the Board of Trustees
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Kohler, of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, as the new Trustee of The Christian Science Publishing Society. She will succeed Scott Preller, CSB, who has been elected President of the Board of Education. We are deeply grateful to Scott for his clarity, dedication, and many accomplishments.
Linda has been a Journal-listed Christian Science nurse for the last 24 years. She has served as Director of Nursing at a Christian Science nursing facility, and for the last six years she has been the Manager of the Department of Christian Science Nursing Activities for The Mother Church. In that capacity, she has traveled to England, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Brazil, Argentina, and throughout the United States and Canada working with members, nurses, and Committees on Publication on such important issues as accommodations for Christian Science nursing. The “demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice” (Church Manual, p. 49), which Linda has brought to her nursing activities with such poise and grace over many years, will be invaluable to the activities of the Publishing Society. She begins her trusteeship August 1.
