Sin spelled out
There is an “i” in sin
A me that misleads
Confuses then regrets.
But there is no I AM in sin
No God
No good
No woman/man in sin.
Daily turning, yearning for the light
Will set things right, erase the sin
From thought and act
And there you are
Standing in the midst
Not the mist, with the Christ—
Forgiven!
And yes there is an “i” in forgiven
But no I AM, and why is that?
Because The Great I AM sees/knows/allows
Only sinless self.
Like Saul becoming Paul
Rising when we seem to fall
We are transformed and holy humbled
by God’s grace.
