Freed from pain and feelings of loss

Some years ago, I lost someone who was very dear to me. Some time later, I began to feel severe pains in the lumbar region. The symptoms were similar to kidney stones, but I felt they were related to the profound grief I was experiencing at the time. I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner and ask her to help me through prayer. 

During our conversation, the practitioner told me that both the loved one I had lost and I were supported by God because He never abandons His children. She affirmed that spiritual wholeness is always preserved, and that God was right there with me, at that very moment. As I listened to those words, I felt a great sense of relief.

A short while after this conversation, the feeling of anguish disappeared completely. I felt very well during the day and slept peacefully that night. The following day I woke up without any pain and went back to work.
