Burning . . . they’re burning—
seven lamps of fire,
the angel out of the midst
of the bush,
Elijah’s chariot.*
Something needs to be
burned away.
Earthweights—
sorrow, apathy,
discouragement, doubt . . .
burned away.
Enslavement, addiction,
famine, terror, pain . . .
burned away.
It’s uncomfortable,
unsettling.
But the bush
was not consumed!
Life is never consumed.
Only the weights.
Only the chains.
