One question—many answers. Read a selection of responses from site visitors:
Once when my husband and I had just separated, I was home with two children, and feeling very alone. One evening I just really asked God to speak to me because I could not shake this awful feeling. So I opened up my Bible and the first words I saw were these: “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” (Dan. 3:25). Well, I recognized this passage as being part of the story of the three Hebrews in the fiery furnace. But what it told me right at that moment, was that my children and I would not be hurt during this ordeal, and that we were no more alone than the Hebrews were alone in the fiery furnace. The form of the fourth (the Son of God) was with them, and the form of the fourth was also with me and my children. This gave me great comfort, and continued to do so throughout the divorce, and beyond.
