The flower and the sun
There once was a lonely flower.
Little did she know
about a Higher Power.
“I am useless, stupid, and lame,
no one would ever love me,
I’m a shame.”
There that flower sat day after day,
she never saw the light,
just gray, gray, gray.
That flower had no clue
that she was beautiful, shining with
morning dew.
On one extraordinary day
the sun came out
and the flower got rid of her pout.
“I’m like the sun,” said a voice,
“and though you’ve felt like a fraud,
let Me show you the real you,
a beautiful idea of Mine,
and every day I come out for you
accept My light and see what you’ll do.
Once you let in the light,
darkness loses the fight.
Beautiful and perfect is what you are,
trust in Me and you will go far.”
So from that day on that flower glowed
and shared with everyone what God had
showed.
