River of life
A little leaf, a little leaf
falls as if it had no purpose
on the river of life.
The little leaf, the little leaf
stays afloat as it goes
wherever the river flows.
The little leaf, the little leaf
on God’s sails is borne,
while self-willed sailors’ boats are torn.
The little leaf, the little leaf
(like you and me),
sustained by God.
