A FRESH START FOR A COLLEGE FRESHMAN
WE SEEM TO LIVE in a world of transitions and new beginnings—from middle school to high school; from high school to college; from one college to another if you decide to transfer; and then from college to the workforce. And just when we think we've got one thing (the school or the job) figured out—our world changes, and we have to figure it out all over again.
That's why I'm grateful for the role Christian Science has played in helping me embrace change. There have been times when I've seen so clearly that divine Love's care for each of Her children is constant, always present, and unchanging. Many times, when change has seemed disappointing and frightening, I've drawn strength from Hymn 148 in the Christian Science Hymnal. Part of it reads:
