A healing moment... with some humor

Several years ago, my grown son Jason had a beautiful healing, when I turned to God's unfailing goodness for help. He phoned and told me he was home and was suffering with internal pain, making it very uncomfortable for him to be on the job working at a computer help desk. The only position bearable for him was to lie on his stomach. The thought of my son suffering was distressing, so I told him I would come visit and we would pray together.

Our family has always relied on Christian Science for healing, and as a child Jason had many wonderful healings. So he chose not to seek out a medical opinion, and I was supportive of this decision and confident that he would be healed.

As I think back on the incident, I have to chuckle because I thought healing might take a lot of time and that I'd need to read Jason all kinds of spiritual stuff from the Bible, Science and Health, etc. So I loaded up my car with books and Christian Science magazines, "armed for battle."
