MILESTONES AT EXAM TIME

I was a Sunday School student at the Christian Science Society in Chandigarh. My mother heard about Christian Science from a colleague, and she introduced Christian Science to our family. My whole family went to the society, and a lot of us experienced healings. We have now moved to Bangalore, but the truths which my family learned in church are still helping us all in our lives.

After moving to Bangalore, I wrote my tenth standard public examination. In India, all students in the tenth standard, or year, have to write one common exam. This was the first time I was writing an examination of such a nature—it's a milestone in your student life, and society puts a lot of importance on it. This filled me with a great deal of apprehension and anxiety.

Before we wrote this examination, my school conducted several mock exams in order to prepare us thoroughly for the final. Each time, even though I studied hard, I found my results to be very disappointing. I was not satisfied. I prayed to reflect God's intelligence to the utmost, and yet I wasn't seeing any results.
