Why should I join The Mother Church?
The following posts are from a recent tmcyouth.com online discussion. These selected comments are not republished with the Sentinel's intent to endorse particular views, but to give a snapshot of current issues young people are thinking and praying about in today's world.
I'm sorry if this has already been discussed here [on tmcyouth.com]; I found a topic about the age for joining The Mother Church but would like a take on why we should join The Mother Church.
I have been a branch member for a few years now, and the jobs I can do in the church are limited because I'm not a member of TMC. My initial reluctance to join stems from some experiences which put me off organized religion for many years. When I started attending church again, it just felt natural to be more involved; I wanted to help practically as well as metaphysically. I am now getting the same feelings about TMC.
