Not even a scratch to my bike or me

One night, my mom and I were bike riding into downtown Plymouth to get ice cream before going to the Wednesday night church meeting. I was riding my bike to cross the street at the "Walk" sign. A car turning left didn't notice me and started to drive right into my bike. My mom screamed, "Stop!" and the driver tried to slow down, but it was too late. The car hit me and pushed me off my bike. My mom quickly came over and helped me up. She reminded me that God was right there and calmly said to me, "There are no accidents in God's kingdom." This helped me stay calm.

When I got up, the driver hopped out of her car, and she was very sorry and upset. She asked me if I was all right. I realized I was fine—not even a scratch to my bike or me. It seemed like everyone was really worried about me, but I wasn't. I remember thinking that I was God's reflection and I could never stop reflecting Him.

The lady who hit me was so sad she hit me that she started crying. I knew that she hadn't hit me with her car on purpose. But I felt bad that she was crying and I wanted her to understand I was OK. So, I threw my arms around her and gave her a big hug.
