Now? Really? How?

The past spits guilt.
The future threatens uncertainty.

But is there another option,
another base of conscious thought
that isn't coerced, that doesn't
produce that niggling fear of failure?

"Your origin!" thunders the Creator,
loudly not because we are foolish, but
because the din of the dream is so noisy,
and repetitive, and frankly boring.

"Today," the Mother-God speaks gently,
"We're going to experience together
the Kingdom's beginning."
(Without a snake snoring a lie against creation.)

The gentleness is real.
"In fact, dear one, now is the right moment
for the blessing you didn't expect
but I AM did, and that's
why it really was expected."

Your innocence is free
of the knowledge of evil.
Your confidence is in the completeness
of the good that has always been.

My heart says thank you,
and somehow those other demands of the hour
shrink before the magnitude
of what has been given in the grace not displaced.
