MAKE THE 'BEST' OF THIS MOMENT

On my desk at home I have a little note with a reminder that says, "Are you making the best of this moment?" Answering that question usually makes me stop and think. I've learned that what's important is what's real. And what's real is spiritual. And it's NOW.

In fact, this moment is all there is. The Psalmist captures the power of living in the present—in God's presence—by encouraging us to "be still, and know that I am God" (Ps. 46:10). God is. Divine Life, Truth, Love is all-power, all-presence. Timeless. Forever now.

With today's economic Challenges worldwide, many people are worried about the future. For some, the most urgent question may be, "How do I get through the mess I'm in right now?" Others may be focused on past failures, or on how much better life, or their health, was before.
