WON'T YOU COME INSIDE?

Maybe you're reading this issue of the Sentinel because someone shared it with you. If so, welcome! Maybe you're a regular reader or subscriber. If so, welcome to you as well! We think there's something for each reader in these pages. The focus this week is Christian Science Reading Rooms—and they're for everyone.

Sharing has a lot to do both with Reading Rooms and with this magazine. Every Christian Science church is required to operate a Reading Room in its community (or perhaps in a regional location with other nearby churches), where people can come in, meet members, ask questions, and learn about Christian Science, which Mary Baker Eddy discovered in the pages of the Holy Bible in 1866. And the Sentinel is one of the important avenues that Reading Rooms have available to introduce the public to Christian Science, and especially to the Christian healing that happens through what it teaches about prayer as Jesus taught and lived.

Over the decades, many people have found themselves healed and transformed through a study of Christian Science that began with a visit to a Reading Room. Of course, that doesn't mean they stopped going there just because they weren't newcomers anymore! These places are for everyone to visit, chat, learn, log on, share, browse—and, of course, buy the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy's book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, as well as the literature published by The Christian Science Publishing Society.
