a new model, a modern storefront
IT STARTED back at our Christian Science Society's July 2003 annual meeting, when one member said, "If a newcomer walked through our doors and heard about the abundance of infinite divine Love, they'd most probably laugh and say, 'Where's the abundance being displayed in this dive?'!"
Our Reading Room was at the back of our church—which itself was a tired-looking little old house in the residential back blocks of nowhere. We had a tiny membership and a small bank account.
What could we do to improve? Keep the status quo? No way! Follow the Manual of The Mother Church? Definitely! Check out the possibilities? Diligently! Pray? Absolutely! Expect practical results? You bet!
