FACIAL GROWTH HEALED QUICKLY THROUGH PRAYER

I deeply value the healing power of the Scriptures and the explanations of that healing power, found in the theology of Christian Science. Both as a child and as an adult, I've experienced healings of a skin rash, sports injuries, small household accidents, and a broken nose, among others, that taught me profound lessons about God, and myself as the likeness of my divine Parent. Whether a healing is immediate or occurs after a longer period of prayer, I remain inspired at how incredibly good God is and how much He loves us.

One quick healing that I'm very grateful for occurred a little over a year ago. I noticed that a spot that had been on my left temple for many months had enlarged and changed shape enough to be seen through my hairline no matter how I styled my hair. I wasn't alarmed for my health, but the growth was unsightly and unnecessary, and I resolved that it was time to address the situation with prayer. I recognized that instead of focusing on my appearance and letting vanity be the motivator of taking action, I should begin by humbly listening to God for His messages about my health and wholeness.

A phrase kept echoing in thought: "The starting-point of divine Science is that God, Spirit, is All-in-all . . ."(Science and Health p. 275). I took this as the inspiration I needed to get started praying. I sat in humble stillness, listening for God's direction to see how the words applied to the situation at hand.
