My back was healed

Last year, in seventh grade, a girl accidentally pushed me when we were playing basketball. I fell, landing on my back. I felt fine and continued playing. But the next day, my back started to hurt.

I've attended a Christian Science Sunday School since I was little, so I've been learning about God and how to pray for healing. I knew that injury and pain aren't part of God's good creation. We are created in the image and likeness of God, and all that God made is perfect.

Instead of praying, though, at first I ignored my back and went back to doing my chores. The next day, the pain in my back was worse. So I called my grandma, who's a Christian Scientist. She gave me a Christian Science practitioner's phone number to call and told me she would also be praying for me. The practitioner asked me if I knew who I really was, and I told her that I was a child of God. Then she asked me if I truly believed it, and if I knew what I had said was true. I answered yes. After I talked to her, I felt better than I had all day.
