BECOMING AN ACTOR—LET GOD DIRECT YOU

The Kids' Sentinel talked with Robert Duvall, who is known all over the world as an outstanding actor. He has been in many movies. For example, To Kill a Mockingbird, Geronimo: An American Legend, Secondhand Lions, Tender Mercies, and The Apostle. He was also raised in Christian Science. Here he answers kids' questions about himself and his work.

What kind of things did you like to do when you were a boy?

I was just like many others of my own age. My two brothers and I loved sports. We lived in Annapolis, Maryland, and spent many hours at the US Naval Academy watching football, basketball, baseball, and wrestling matches. We went as a family to the wrestling matches—even with two of our grandmothers. One of our favorite wrestlers, a national champion, attended the local Christian Science church, as we did, so we had a particular interest in him.
