God was my 'Rock'

Last summer I went ice skating at a rink near my grandparents' house.

I had a lot of fun. There was only one problem. The day before, I had twisted my ankle. I didn't think about my twisted ankle or feel any pain while I skated with my sister and dad. But when I got off the ice and took my skates off, my foot hurt a lot. I mentioned it to my mom, and we both prayed silently.

When I got home, I climbed into bed and prayed some more. I also thought about a story from the Bible I really liked that was in that week's Bible Lesson from the Christian Science Quarterly. It's where Jesus tells about building a house on rock or on sand (see Luke 6:48, 49). My mom and I read a few sections of the Lesson together, which was on "Truth," another name for God.
