Online voices spreading good
SOMETIMES, THE WORLD CAN SEEM PRETTY NOISY . And I'm not just talking about the trucks I often hear outside my apartment in the city. I'm talking about the chatter and discussion one comes across on the Internet.
To be fair, there are countless substantive news articles, blogs, and online forums that highlight the very best of humanity. People across the globe are embracing social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter in many unique, creative ways. (The micro-blogging site Twitter has become a popular space, where people can upload their thoughts about anything and everything in 140 characters or less.)
It's when these messages become destructive or jarring that it may seem impossible to quiet our own thoughts and feel at peace. And when bad news starts to churn and spread, it's easy to get sucked in by fearful predictions or feel the urge to contribute to them.
