THE MODERN CHURCH,
with its focus on the preaching ministry, seems to have forgotten how important it is to give space for believers to share their stories of God's goodness, providence, and protection, particularly as the Bible makes clear the important role testimonies play in the life of the believer.
When the Apostle John received God's revelations of end times, he wrote that the saints were able to overcome the evil one "by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony."
A good testimony inspires, enlightens, and encourages. It also reminds hearers about the goodness of God and gives us another reason to worship Him.
