When I was about five years old, I had to start wearing hearing aids. Mom and I prayed, and we asked a Christian Science practitioner to help us pray.

When I pray, I sometimes look up words in the Glossary of Science and Health. I like how God is described there. It says that God is "the great I AM; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal" (p. 587). I realized that there was no hard of hearing in God's kingdom. That's because everything is perfect with God.

Mom and I kept praying.
