LETTERS
It's about time I expressed my appreciation for the wonderful articles in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel. I love that the editors are prayerfully making wonderful changes in the design and looks of the publications. I know Mary Baker Eddy would approve. She was very progressive and way ahead of her time.
I just reread in We Knew Mary Baker Eddy where Martha Wilcox, who worked in Mrs. Eddy's home in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, related that her household had one of the first vacuum cleaners that came out and that she was interested in an exhibition of flying. To Mrs. Eddy, it was the appearance of advancing thought (see pp. 205–206). I haven't read anywhere that she was content with the same old, same old.
I just loved the Sentinel of August 11 on being "fearless in times of change." Thank You!
