FOR TEENS

A TRIP TO LOOK FORWARD TO

My family and I had planned a special trip to go to Europe for ten days over my spring break from school. I was very excited to be leaving North America for the first time.

But two days before we were supposed to get on a plane, my head started to hurt. And just one day before the trip, it hurt so bad that I had to stay home from school. A sharp pain in my ears also bothered me every time I said something, and even just when I was listening to other people. I was worried I might have to miss the trip I'd looked forward to.

That morning at home, I prayed. I'd had healings before, so I knew that I could turn to God for comfort and to be free from pain. But my ears still hurt hours later, and I started to feel frustrated. My mom and I talked and decided that it would be a good idea for me to call a Christian Science practitioner for some extra prayerful help. At first I procrastinated because I wasn't really open to the idea. But my mom kept encouraging me, so I finally did.
