LETTERS

Carmen Van Ness Templeton's article in the December 3, 2007, Sentinel ["Lurking evil or underlying good?"], titled "I am still a mother" has meant so much to me. Seeing that we can love the world with God's Mother-love is wonderful, and I mean to do so starting now.

As a Christian Science chaplain, I visit two units of our county juvenile hall each Tuesday. Christmas having been on Tuesday this past year, I went with an angel message of joy and cheer. At the first unit, I gave out 11 copies of the poem "Christmas angels" by Jill Gooding from the December 17 Sentinel ["The advent of Jesus"]. I sang various hymns, ending with "Joy to the world." One boy asked me to repeat that hymn.
