Birth—for non-parents, too

Younger readers have urged us to cover subjects that really matter in their lives, and this issue responds directly to one of those issues: childbirth. Offerings by our feature-section contributors—Keith Wommack, Marta Greenwood, Amy Baker, and Caryl Farkas—come from deep wells of spiritual insight and experience.

But hear my plea as a non-parent (and OK, as an editor, too)—don't toss this issue in the recycle bin just because parenthood may not be at the top of your to-do list at the moment! In this issue you'll find parents being honest and open about intimate chapters of their lives. But you'll also encounter thinkers and healers being generous with the kind of insights that have meaning and value for all of us.

While the need to think and pray more perceptively about creation and procreation crosses all generational lines, this issue offers fresh ideas for taking on challenges of all kinds—from incubating a new business, to nurturing the search for a job or home, to birthing a healing practice. And, yes, to writing for publication.
