Lurking fears, or confidence in good?

As I write this, my daughter is on a plane headed toward her dream. Recently graduated from college, today she is embarking on "the rest of her life"—living and working in foreign lands. With portfolio in hand, she's planning to hostel and job-hunt from Stockholm to Rome, and take the best furniture-design opportunity she is offered.

Am I worried? Well, one of the perks of working on the Sentinel staff is that I get to read the articles sooner than you do. Very often they come to my rescue in some way. And this week's issue is certainly timely for me! (I trust it is for you, too.)

Regardless of whether or not we live or travel in "safe" places, things will come along that feel, or seriously are, dangerous. Some small, some life-threatening. So what does the Sentinel contribute to the situation? A reminder of the presence of God—the always-present, overriding power of good.
