TRUST IN GOD 'STEP BY STEP'
In December of last year, I began refereeing basketball games for the school where I work. Toward the end of the first quarter of a game early in the season, I felt a sharp blow to the back of my right calf, as if some sort of hard object had struck me. I actually turned to see what had hit me, but found nothing.
When I moved to follow the action of the game, the muscle in that part of my leg caused me a great deal of pain. I wasn't sure what had happened, and when the quarter ended a few moments later, I sat and briefly massaged my leg to try to ease the pain. Although I was able to finish the game, I needed to minimize my movements more and more as the game progressed.
Thoughout my life, I've turned to God's healing power, as taught in Christian Science, to handle challenges that have confronted me, and I knew I could turn to prayer to solve this situation. After the game, I went to my office and called a Christian Science practitioner to support my own prayerful efforts.
