Mary Ann found out about the street by street prayer assignments after columnist Wendy Thomas wrote about [Memphis resident] Kathy Hammond in The Commercial Appeal: "I grieve with everyone over the suffering of the city," Hammond said in an interview with Action News 5. "It's a large city, and it's difficult to pray for the city as a whole. But I thought what if we go street by street?" . . .
