I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the Christian Science publications, both The Christian Science Journal and the Sentinel. They just seem to get better and better, with such great substance to take with you. I frequently have the opportunity to share the magazines with my friends who are not Christian Scientists.

A recent issue that has stuck with me had the article by Bart van Eck titled "Spirit versus matter in healing" (June 19), where the writer, who was critically ill, yelled out, "Why can't I love my mother?" That was so helpful to me, not in reference to my mom but to what the response was from the practitioner, who said: "You don't have to love a person. All you have to do is express Love." I find that expressing love is so much easier than trying to love a personality and comes so much more naturally.
