"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." This is how the Preface to Science and Health begins. Whenever I think of this statement, it's as if my consciousness were flooded by a precious balm of immeasurable value.

Almost 20 years ago, I took a fall while skiing. The doctor who attended me said that I would need immediate knee surgery. When I returned home, after getting various opinions from competent professionals, I decided to undergo the surgery because I understood that otherwise I ran the risk of suffering intense pain and not being able to practice my favorite sport, jogging.

After the surgery, I was devastated when told I nevertheless should stop running. However, I was not able to stay away from the sport for very long. And for years I worked with alternative therapies.
