ANYONE CAN BE A HEALER
'I AM HEALED!'
I WAS THE MOTHER of two little children at the time (and my husband and I were open to the idea of having more children). I had a busy life. Nevertheless, I came out of the 12–day Primary class in Christian Science knowing that I would be a Christian Science practitioner one day.
Our teacher had made it clear that she expected us to begin healing right away, and I took her seriously. I began at once within my own family, approaching every problem with a full expectancy of spiritual healing. I would pray for each member of the family each day. Any difficulties they were having were promptly parked in the "secret place of the most High" for the day—or, occasionally, for as long as was necessary for God's protection to be fully realized (Ps. 91:1). As a result, we had scores of healings of childhood diseases, broken bones, deafness, injuries resulting from falls, and so on. In my twin roles of parent and learner-healer, there was never a dull moment.
What I didn't fully appreciate at that point, was how much I still had to learn before God would give me the green light to advertise as a practitioner.
