SOME ESSENTIALS FOR BEING A CHRISTIAN SCIENCE PRACTITIONER

I AM GRATEFUL Christian Science has always been in my family. I grew up attending Christian Science Sunday School, and feel most fortunate.

In my sophomore and junior years in high school, I had an inspiring Sunday School teacher who made Christian Science come alive for me. That teaching had a great influence on me, in addition to the wonderful example that my parents set. And I think it was sometime around my senior year in high school that I knew deep down I wanted to be a Christian Science practitioner. I joined The Mother Church that same year.

After graduating from college, I took Christian Science class instruction, and shared my understanding of this Science more than I had before. I didn't become a full-time practitioner, however, until quite a few years later, after spending some time in the Army and then about 20 years in the computer industry.
