I am a young physician, and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy have transformed and challenged me. With the nearest Christian Science church at 770 kilometers from my city, the Sentinel plays a very important role in my search.
I was moved by the March 7 issue on "Practical prayer." A folk saying goes, "God has three answers to prayer: 'Yes,' 'Not now,' 'Something better.' " There are many Scripture passages in which God expresses His love for us and His desire to answer our prayers, and other passages emphasize the importance of persevering at prayer.
The divine Mind knows all things and has an eternal perspective on our lives. What we ask for may actually be harmful to us or to a loved one. So we must persevere at prayer.
