GOD'S INFINITE ABUNDANCE

JESUS' WORDS "What I say unto you I say unto all, Watch" (Mark 13:37) have always reminded me to be alert to what I'm thinking. They've been especially useful in dealing with issues of economics, housing, and helping family and friends. I've found that watching (and sifting) thoughts, to make sure they come from God, contributes to seeing evidence in my life of God's infinite abundance.

Through Bible study I've learned that because God is Love, He's constantly pouring out His goodness. He doesn't provide anyone with anything that is limited or changeable. He gives us divine qualities and ideas, which are the "rock" upon which Christ Jesus said we could build with confidence (see Luke 6:47-49).

I've also come to appreciate that abundance is a spiritual fact in the universe of divine Love. It's not static, fixed, or to be accumulated. Rather, it flows like a river, which is described in Science and Health as a "channel of thought." Mary Baker Eddy went on to say, "When smooth and unobstructed, it typifies the course of Truth" (p. 593).
