DISEASE PROVED ILLUSIONARY

Six years ago, my feet became swollen and covered with sores. I asked a Christian Science practitioner to pray with me, but the condition grew worse and I couldn't continue to work.

Years before, Christian Science had changed my life. I was often in and out of hospitals with asthma, yet I loved Jesus' healings and yearned to help others. Then I found Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and took a two-week class in Christian Science. I was immediately healed of the asthma when I grasped my spiritual identity as God's child. I kept relying on Christian Science, and many healthy years followed.

So when this condition developed, I trusted it as my only choice of treatment. Christian Science nurses helped me with the dressings to keep the wounds clean. I kept praying, but the sores spread over my entire body. I continued treatment from various Christian Science practitioners, including my teacher of Christian Science, and prayed myself to understand that my actual identity was perfect as a child of God—never in a diseased physical body.
