A new song
(Based on Psalm 96)
I will sing unto the Lord a new song.
Not that tired old refrain of woes and wrongs,
Seeking to advise the All-Knowing Mind
Of what I think She needs to know.
Vain. Futile. Unworthy of God's child.
I know better.
Rather, I give to God my new song.
Of grace and gratitude.
Of wholeness and soundness.
Of joy unbounded and abounding.
A sweet song. Uplifted and uplifting.
A healing song.
A joyous song, dissolving the dark thoughts.
A new song.
