INCAPACITATING PAIN HEALED THROUGH PRAYER

I have experienced many healings as a result of prayer and treatment in Christian Science. One particularly stands out because of the challenge it posed to me.

One evening, after coming home from an executive board meeting at our branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I came down with a severe headache. The pain soon spread to my entire body. The pain was so serious that I could not even think, or hardly talk. It seemed that I couldn't remember any of the truths I had learned to pray with while studying Christian Science.

My wife lovingly helped care for me and got a Christian Science practitioner on the telephone, so I could talk with her and ask her to pray for me. I know that practitioner voiced some wonderful words of divine Truth to lean upon, but I was not able to take much in and had no recollection of them from the time of hanging up the telephone. The practitioner and my wife were, however, praying very diligently for me.
