GRATITUDE AND PRAYER BRING QUICK HEALING OF HAND INJURY

My husband and I had decided to cut down a shade tree that had become something of a nuisance in our backyard. It stood about 30 feet high and was approximately 16 inches in diameter. I had no experience at all in cutting down trees or using a saw, but it was a two-person project, and I was game to help my husband with the work.

We wrapped a rope around an upper branch to pull it away from the house, and my husband climbed the 24-foot ladder and started sawing the upper portion of the trunk. After a time, I offered to relieve him, and we swapped places. While I continued sawing, my husband stood on the ground holding the rope.

Suddenly, there was a loud cracking sound, and my husband yelled to alert me that the branch was about to fall. I soon found my hands pinned between the falling branch and the tree trunk.
