Several years ago, I began to notice how bored, depressed, and inadequate I felt after reading many popular magazines. None of them dealt with any of the issues I struggled with.
Then, about a year ago, a friend introduced me to the Christian Science Sentinel. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful publication, particularly the May 3 issue, "Prayer—The antidote for anxiety." I am so appreciative of the way in which your writers specifically address current events.
For example, in that issue Kay Olson describes her feelings upon seeing a picture depicting an "anguished Marine reacting to the news that one of his platoon buddies has been seriously injured." I saw that same picture, and was paralyzed with grief and horror.
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
