Rosacea and sciatica healed
Originally published in O Arauto da Christian Science
For many years I lived with moments of doubt and dissatisfaction about spirituality. This led me on a constant search, until I found Christian Science.
I had been suffering for many years from a condition called rosacea, which the doctors said was incurable. Nevertheless, I would submit to examinations, use creams and lotions and some medication. However, nothing worked. My face would become red, itch, and burn. The inflammation would dry and then return, and these cycles went on for about 20 years.
The doctors had advised me to avoid the hot sun. If I wanted to go to the beach, it had to be very early, and I had to put on creams, sun block, wear a hat, etc. At work, people would constantly ask me what I had on my face, and I repeated what the doctors told me. For a long time I tried to cover up the problem with a lot of makeup, but then I looked like a bad painting, which was worse. Later I decided to stop using makeup, thinking that it might be harming my skin, but I did not achieve the desired result. The problem became even more evident.
