A landmark healing prayer
For a number of years during the winter months, I used to suffer every season from severe influenza. As a Christian Scientist, I had always turned to prayer during these onslaughts. But during one particularly troublesome bout with the flu that had all but prostrated me, I still had not found relief after several days of prayer.
One night I awoke feeling nauseated, and I got up and walked into the living room. Pacing back and forth, I decided vigorously to challenge through prayer, once and for all, this chronic ailment. Through my study of Christian Science, I had learned to know and love God as my Father-Mother. I knew His love for me was constant. It precluded the possibility that I could suffer or be sick.
