"No," I replied cautiously. I hoped I wasn't betraying the oh-brother-what-now? feeling that this kind of question so easily prompts.
"We just got bought out," she said. Again? Less than three months earlier, this relatively small bank had been taken over by a relatively larger one. And now, before the considerable clouds of dust had settled for clients and staff alike, a significantly bigger-name institution was about to move in.
