'I Know God loves me'
A single mom rises above tragedy and adversity.
I was in my last year of college, and I had just become engaged on my 21st birthday. The changes in my life were all positive, and I was excited about the new doors that were about to open for me.
Then I discovered I was pregnant. When my fiancé heard this news, we talked it over, and he decided that he really didn't want to get married. All the plans that I'd thought were going forward, and that would take me to a new place in life, were now suddenly changed.
I dropped out of school and returned to my mother's home to await the birth. Although I was disappointed about the broken engagement, I was very grateful for the love my mother gave me. And that love just continued after my baby, Jasmine, was born.
