Chronic breathing condition healed
When I was eight months pregnant with my second daughter, I developed a very severe breathing problem. I had had this condition at various times in my life. During this time I slept in a chair surrounded by pillows to keep me upright because I was unable to lie down and often couldn't get enough air.
Although this persisted over several days, I felt confident that it could be permanently healed through Christian Science. I had experienced Christian Science healing many times in my life. And the alternative—relying on medication or an inhaler for air—did not seem very appealing.
Every day I listened to inspirational tapes produced by The Christian Science Publishing Society, which offered ideas to pray with that were uplifting and calming. I also asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me in prayer.
